Webbstock 2023 More Vendors, More Music, Rain or Shine

Hosted by Vlog and the Town of Boiling Springs, Event Features Afternoon of Music and Fun

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—While listening to alt-rock, pop, Americana, ’80s and country music, attendees to Webbstock ’23 can browse products and handmade items, make purchases and enjoy a meal. Nearly 40 vendors will offer a selection of merchandise and food. Vlog and the Town of Boiling Springs are hosting the festival for the second year on Saturday, April 22. The festival will go on, rain or shine, with the bands taking the stage from 3 to 10 p.m.

“Lively music and delicious food have a way of bringing people together, and this year’s Webbstock promises to draw patrons from our campus, our local community, our county and beyond,” shared GWU President Dr. William Downs. “Bring a chair, some dancing shoes, and a big appetite!”

Main Street will be closed to traffic during the event. The kids zone will be set up on the lawn in front of GWU’s Noel Hall. Also, for attendees 21 and older, the Broad River Greenway will host a beverage garden in the parking lot that serves downtown businesses.

Highlights from Webbstock 2023

The music lineup for the entertainment stage, located near the intersection of Main Street and College Avenue, includes:

  • 1 p.m.: 9TY6ISH (ninety-six-ish) is an alt-rock/pop/indie band from North Carolina.
  • 2:30 p.m.: Rutherford County Line, the “biggest little band in the Carolinas,” is one of the most in demand bands, opening for such national acts as Doug Stone and Aaron Tippin.
  • 4 p.m.: The Phoebes Band – A fast-rising force, performing the perfect mix of Rock & Blues with soulful vocals, screaming guitars, and a driving rhythm section.
  • 5:30 p.m.: Cassette Rewind – Born in the ‘80s and raised on radio, Cassette Rewind is the ultimate authentic ’80s experience with dynamic performances of Prince, George Michael, Journey, Whitney Houston and other ’80s pop icons.
  • 7 p.m.: Chatham County Line – A staple of the North Carolina music scene for over two decades, Chatham County Line embraces the heart-worn songwriting and rough-hewn voice of leader Dave Wilson. The national touring Americana band has graced stages across the U.S. as well as Europe, Scandinavia, Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Boiling Springs Town Manager Justin Longino said the town and university are ready to build on the success of last year’s event. “The vendors and participants gave the event rave reviews last year, and we look forward to exceeding expectations again this year,” he assessed. “Partnering with Vlog on an event like this puts on display the true ‘Town-and-Gown’ spirit that happens behind the scenes every day.”
