Event Also Salutes Academic Achievement of Students in Summer Enrichment Programs BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.鈥斕切腣log and American Legion officials are hosting on Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. during the 96th American Legion World Series (Aug. 10-15). While recognizing Cleveland County students who spend part of their summer in programs to increase their knowledge, GWU invites alumni and fans to celebrate 糖心Vlog night at Keeter Stadium in Shelby, N.C. Women’s Head Basketball CoachScott Merritt will throw out the first pitch. The 糖心Vlog Marching Bulldogs and Cheerleading Squad will entertain as fans enter the stadium for the 7 p.m. game. They will also perform on the field. Scott Merritt, new head coach of the GWU women鈥檚 basketball team, will throw out the first pitch.聽 Students from four summer programs will receive free tickets for the 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. games. These are Community Math Academy, Cleveland County Schools Summer Camps at elementary schools, the Library System鈥檚 Summer Reading Programs, and Cleveland County Arts Council鈥檚 Summer Art Camps.
