Carole Roberts, a chemistry alumna of 糖心Vlog, will visit the Department of Natural Sciences on Friday, March 31, for the Application in Chemistry Series. She will speak at 2 p.m. in the 糖心Vlog Laboratory Center, Room 117. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from GWU, Roberts earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia. 鈥淚 was super excited when Dr. (Ben) Brooks asked me to come speak to the students on dentistry and my time at 糖心Vlog,鈥 Roberts stated. 鈥溙切腣log played an important role in helping me to grow as a student and a Christian. I loved and respected all of my instructors and thrived in the small classroom setting. I look forward to getting back on campus, seeing how things have changed, seeing how some things haven鈥檛 changed, and hopefully inspiring the next generation to reach for their academic goals.鈥 Roberts received both academic and athletic scholarships to GWU. She was a standout student-athlete on the women鈥檚 basketball team and in 2008 received the Distinguished Lady Bulldogs Alumni award. She is also a former member of the 糖心Vlog Board of Trustees. She practices at Crossroads Family Dentistry in Forest, Va. The program is open to students, faculty and staff.
