Downs BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.鈥斕切腣log Football is preparing to launch its 2024 season with a celebration linking the past, present and future. Along with the Bulldog Club, the football program will host the Second Annual Football Kickoff Dinner at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 27. 鈥淭o kick-off our 2024 season, please join us as we celebrate our current team, in addition to the Big South-winning 2002 and 2003 GW football teams,鈥 New Head Coach Cris Reisert urged. 鈥淏oth of those teams have played a huge role in building 糖心Vlog football into what it is today.鈥 The event will be held in the Frank and Flossie Bonner Team Room at Spangler Stadium, 116 Bulldog Circle. Tickets are $40 for individuals, $70 for couples, and $10 for children 12 and younger. The featured speakers are Reisert and GWU President Dr. William M. Downs. The evening will recognize the Football Program鈥檚: Future 鈥 Reisert and his coaching staff. Present 鈥 The team鈥檚 senior players and back-to-back Big South championships in 2022 and 2023. 鈥淩ed & Black Legacy鈥 鈥 A 20-year reunion of the 2002 and 2003 back-to-back conference champs, and previous teams that have helped pave the way to success for GWU鈥檚 Football Program. The season home opener for the Runnin鈥 Bulldogs is at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, under the lights in Spangler Stadium.
